HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – Dener Barbosa (Paulo de Faria, Brazil) won the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Frontier Communications Rumble event Saturday night inside Big Sandy Superstore Arena.

Barbosa went 3-for-3 on the weekend to earn the victory. He rode Renaged for 83 points in Round 1, Shark Bait for 87 points in Round 2 and Showdown for 84.5 points in the championship round. He earned $6,000 and 80 points toward the world standings.

Rubens Barbosa (Iaciara Goias, Brazil) solidified the second-place slot after being the only other cowboy to go 3-for-3. He finished the event with an 87-point ride on Peep Show in the championship round, earning 50 points toward the world standings and $4,600.

Third place went to countryman Ednei Caminhas (Indaiatuba, Brazil), who snatched 30 points toward the world standings and $2,800. The 2002 PBR World Champion was bucked off in the championship round after riding Schizophrenic (Rickey West Bucking Bulls) for 86 points in Round 1 and Ambush (Big Rafter Rodeo Co.) for 85 points in Round 2.

The Brazilian dominance continued with Valdiron de Oliveira (Piranhas, Brazil), who was bucked off in Round 2, as the 38-year-old was able to earn the fourth-place spot after riding Pitch Black  for 84.5 points in the championship round. He took home a check for $2,400 and 20 points toward the world standings.

Tye Chandler (Celina, Texas) rounded out the Top 5 after he rode Pneu-Dart’s Southern Style in the championship round. Chandler earned 15 points toward the world standings and a check for $1,740.

The next stop on the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will be in Biloxi, Mississippi, for the Biloxi Buck Off, presented by Rouses and Kellogg’s, at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Dec. 9.
